Back in Manila. Let me tell you something, its always nice to visit home, but it was especially nice to track down to Mexico. The highlight of Guadalajara Mexico…..was the food. EVERYTHING I ate was good (ate Mexican dishes I’d never even heard of). Not once did I think something was too dry, or stale, everything had flavors on flavors, spiced the right way, and even the snacks, and fruit juices were bomb. The weather was great, 80F. I saw a lot of construction as they are preparing for the World Cup, they are taking it very serious. I enjoyed Mexico and learned that my spanish wasn’t as good as I thought, they talk SUPER fast in Guadalajara, apparently they are known for that. I was using the translator more than I ever have and I’ve been to a lot of spanish speaking countries. other than that, great place to visit, highly recommend it.


yesterday:

This morning I was gonna play it safe and have a ham croissant with avocado……but then I heard a diddy voice telling me to try the “Huevos rancheros” pause.

That is now my favorite Mexican breakfast – pause again

Tonight we have ceviche. I’m dreading the mariachi band and the accordion. I have childhood PTSD but let’s see.
